Ⅰ.Program Objectives

 

The undergraduate program is aimed at producing students proficient in both German and Chinese, with sound moral character, broad knowledge in humanities and professional ethics. With high quality education, the program produces versatile students with the knowledge of German language who are well prepared to do practical work.

 

II. Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate good moral character, broad knowledge in humanities and professional ethics;
  • Develop global mindset, cultural competence, sophisticated analytical thinking skills;
  • Build up a good understanding of the history, society and culture of China and German-speaking countries, and a general understanding of the fundamentals of science and technology, journalism, politics, economics, foreign trade, education and culture;
  • Be proficient in both German and Chinese with good writing and speaking skills in both languages;
  • Demonstrate rudimentary knowledge and research capability in linguistics and literature.
