Zhang Yifan is the Lecturer of translation and interpreting at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He is the doctor candidate of applied linguistics, and his research spans in interpreting teaching and practice. As a professional simultaneous and consecutive interpreter, his research spans fault diagnosis, he is also the certificated examiner for the CATTI and SIA test. In 2014, he won the second prize of the Hubei teaching contest for youth teachers in higher institutes. Zhang Yifan also coached many students in the past five years, and helped those contestants to won the tops prizes in national MUN, English debating contests, speaking contests as well as the interpreting contests.
