The 15th English Songs Competition in Hust Cultural Festival is grandly held at 7:00 p.m. on April 18th in Room 104 of Science and Technology Building. Ten singers from the fierce competition perfectly feast the audiences’ eyes.
Tonight's final begins with a hot dance by the girls from the school of foreign language. The final includes two rounds: the first round is P.K mode, and the second is singing in turns. First, the presenter Simon Lee and Dayuan Hezhi successively introduced the judges and guests who attend today’s finals, and the rules of the game. Five judges are Chenfeng Yan, the last champion of foreign songs competition; Hanyi Zou, the champion of Head & Shoulders Campus Singer Contest; Hanzi Mei, Wenzheng Gao and Nuosi Wang, three of the best singers in HUST. The guests are Yu Ren, Xi Wang, Chenlin Yang and so on. They hope the competition can be successful.
In the first round, the players are divided into five groups according to the draw and perform in turn. According to the judges, if you want to win the game, not only you should have skillful singing ability, but also need to choose the proper songs.
Then the resurrection part begins. Those players who fail to rise in rank have one minute to ask for support. They are, however, not nervous at all because they believe that the competing comes after the friendship. During the discussion between the judges, the players play a singing game to ease the tension. Finally, the judges struggle to choose Dang Zhao and Sheng Yang to rise to the next round.
In the second round, the last seven players are real strong performers. They sing different kind of songs to attract the audience’s attention. Under such circumstance, the laughing and screaming can be heard without end and lingers on the whole room.
After the exciting voting part, the presenters give the each player scores. Jiachao Cheng, from Economic 1101class, wins the champion. Sheng Yang and Junjie Lin respectively win the second and third place. The 15th English Songs Competition in Hust Cultural Festival successfully ends!
