2015 Sino-Japan Humanistic and Social Science Academy Conference & International Academic Seminar of Chinese and Japanese Language and Culture Teaching is held in School of Foreign Languages by Japanese Culture Research Center, Japanese Department and Japanese Japan-Sino Humanistic and Social Science Academy between 20th and 22nd of March, 2015.
The opening ceremony is held in room 104 of Science and Technology building on March 21st at 8:30 a.m. which is followed by a keynote speech. Guests present are former executive vice President of Shanghai International Studies University, chairman of Japanese Literature Research Association of China, Professor TAN Jinghua from Shanghai International Studies University, chairman of Japanese Japan-Sino Humanistic and Social Science Academy, Professor FAN Jianming from the University of Electro-Communications, vice chairman of Japanese Japan-Sino Humanistic and Social Science Academy, Professor SHAO Yingjian from the University of Tokushima, Professor LI Zhengqiang from Kyouritsu Women's University. Dean of the School of Foreign Languages Professor FAN Weiwei, academic leader of Japanese major Professor WANG Qiuhua, Associate Professor CHEN Huiling from Japanese Culture Research Center, and department head of Japanese major, Associate Professor WANG Runmei who hosts the ceremony are also present.
In the very beginning, Professor FAN Weiwei and Professor SHAO give the opening speeches respectively on behalf of School of Foreign Languages of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Japanese Japan-Sino Humanistic and Social Science Academy where Professor FAN praises the efforts and achievements of the Japanese Department, as well as wishes the seminar a great success, and Professor SHAO expresses his thanks to the experts and scholars as well as gives a brief introduction to Japanese Japan-Sino Humanistic and Social Science Academy.
Later on, Professor TAN starts the keynote speech by talking the Japanese literature research and education in nowadays China in which he introduces the research status and achievements of relevant fields. Professor FAN Jianming gives a keynote speech on cultural communication in East Asia from 17 century to 19 century, introducing the communication among China, Japan and South Korea in the relatively peaceful two hundred years, especially the translation of books between Chinese and Japanese and the dispatching of communicators between Japan and South Korea. In the end, vice Professor CHEN’s speech on Japanese adverbs draws the keynote speech to an end.
The seminar centering on two topics Literature/Culture and Language/Education is held in the afternoon of 21st. 18 teachers and students from 9 universities like the University of Tokushima, Tokyo Gakugei University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and South China Normal University, etc. give academic speech in the seminar.
The International Academic Conference achieves complete success.
